Every profession has its iconoclasts; those who refuse to accept the norm but strive for something more ... something that lies beyond. Tradition is considered common and is accepted. Difference is something to be questioned. Conforming to standards in any profession can be a comfortable position. Taking those accepted standards to a higher level can be a very arduous journey.
